DULL is the result of meticulous research and the use of the most advanced raw materials. This coloured edge paint provides the perfect balance between our Basic and Dense edge paint, making it the ultimate choice for leather edging enthusiasts. Base coat is not required for thicknesses less that 1.5mm, but for edges thicker than 1.5 mm DULL can also be applied on top the Basecoat Dense, to offer a more rounded effect. DULL offers unmatched performance in terms of adhesion, coverage and elasticity, ensuring a top quality finish for your leather creations.
Made in Italy, Edge Paint is based on the MAXMATT Polyurethane Polymer, developed by Giardini Group in collaboration with European partners. Giardini keeps sustainability a priority, combined with the highest technical performance. The high-quality base resin in a very high concentration permits you to finish the edge of your handmade items with a minimum number of applications (usually 2-3 applications are sufficient), getting a luxurious quality level. The best pigments on the market were used to create the solidity of the colours and its UV resistance ensure that color choices are maintained over time.
The best quality in edge finishing is achieved when you use the Basecoat Dense as first layer before applying the Edge Paint; this combination requires only two applications, to get a perfect edge coat. Edge Paint normally has a standard opacity, if you want a glossy effect, you can apply a topcoat finish! Please note, the name is called DULL, but it is not dull in colour or finish!
This product has a very high viscosity and can be applied both by hand and by machine. In case of difficulties during the application, you can add up to 10% of water to slightly reduce viscosity and make the application easier. In this case you may need to apply more layers to get the same result. It is recommended not to exceed more than 10% water addition to avoid losing some of the technical features of the paint.

- Dry time is 30 minutes at 25°C
- Store between 10°C and 30°C
- Paint can be ironed, do not exceed 90 °C
- Shelf-life is 12-months. Once opened, use product within 6-months.
