MAXMATT™ Basecoat Dense will allow you to achieve the highest quality on your leather, cork, or faux leather edge.
Made in Italy, this basecoat is used as a first layer and its purpose is to prepare the edge for the following colouring phases. It can be applied both by hand and by an automatic machine. Basecoat Dense increases the adhesion characteristics and acts as a filler when edges are made up with more than one layer. This filling function will make the line in the middle of the edge disappear!
During the application phase the Basecoat appears to be whitish in color but once dried has a semi-transparent color and a very solid consistency. Once completely dry, the Basecoat can be worked using a brush, a scotch-brite cloth or a sand paper (we recommend a very fine grain) in order to get a uniform and very smooth leather edge without any imperfection.
