FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions to help you with your shopping experience with us here at Emmaline! We hope you find all of the information you need here, but if not, please try our "Learning Centre" tab on the menu bar for links to installation tutorials and videos.
SHIPPING
We don't ship everywhere in the world, but we do ship to many countries. Add some items to the cart, put in your location and check out our rates. If your country is not available, contact us and we'll see if we can add you. Sometimes there are duties, taxes or fees due depending on what country you live in. You will have to check your customs regulations.
Packages are shipped via Canada Post, UPS, or DHL (depending on your location). Canada Post shipments are passed on to your local postal services, such as USPS & Aus Post.
For orders shipping with Canada: If we can fit your order in a Canada Post Flat Rate box and it is cheaper than the postage you paid, we will try to do this for you if possible, and refund the shipping overage to you. There is no way for you to select a Flat Rate Box at checkout because we need to fit the order to the box first. Our checkout cannot do this.
All of the shipping options we offer are tracked, except for the Oversize Letter option that is only offered within Canada. There is no tracking on postage stamps.
Typically your order will be shipped 1-2 business days after your order is created. There is no shipping on weekends or statutory holidays.

We need 1-2 business days to process your order, and we will email you when it is ready! We do strive to have it ready the same day, but just in case it's further in the queue, we do say 1-2 days just in case!
Checkout, Payments & Import Tax
Sometimes there are duties, taxes or fees due depending on what country you live in. You will have to check your customs /import tax regulations. If you are in European countries, you may need to pay VAT or other taxes that are not included in our prices.
Please choose your currency from the drop down menu at the top or bottom of the screen. This is the currency you will be paying in. If your currency is not offered, then checkout will be in Canadian dollars and the payment will be converted to your currency after payment by paypal or credit card. Please check your paypal or credit card statement to see the conversion to your currency.
We have an ongoing promotion for our retail shoppers on the website! When you add $75.00 worth of product to the cart, you will get an automatic 10% discount. This is calculated in Canadian Dollars, so if you want to see how close you are to the discount, you can change the currency picker to CAD just to check where your subtotal is!
WEBSITE ISSUES
If you are not seeing our photos, your browser needs to be updated. Our website works best on the most up to date versions of Chrome.
If you are using the dropdown arrows in the product pages to choose sizes or finishes, but it's only allowing you to use the top choice, chances are your browser needs to be updated. Our website works best on the most up to date versions of Chrome.
ORDERING
We cannot add items to your payment automatically (paypal or credit card), because we do not have access to your personal credit card or payment information. If we need to change or remove items from your order, please CONTACT US to see if we are able to do it before shipping. We cannot promise that we will be able to do this before your order is shipped, but we will do our best. If an additional payment is required by you, we will send you an online checkout invoice for payment, and your order will be shipped after payment is made.
To add a second order, if we have not yet shipped the original order, feel free to place a 2nd order and mention in the order notes (found in cart) that this is a 2nd order and we will combine it with the first one if we can. When shipping, we will refund the shipping overage on the combined order. NOTE: The second order will not jump the queue to be shipped with the first order; the 1st order will move down the order queue to ship within the fulfillment times of the 2nd order. The 10% discount you may have received on your first order (for an order over $75.00), will not apply to your 2nd order unless it is also over $75.00.

About Sewing Patterns
When you download your new pattern, please make sure you SAVE the file into a folder where you will remember where it is. A folder named "Bag Patterns" on your desktop might be a good location. Back up your computer regularly, or store your files on a service like Google Drive or Dropbox, so that if you computer crashes, your patterns will not be lost. This happens very often!
When you download your sewing pattern, it should be saved on your computer so that you can reprint the pattern pieces again if needed. Search your folder where your downloads go, or do a file search on your computer with the title of the pattern. If you still can't find it after searching, Chat with us, or Contact us here , providing your email address and last name that you purchased with so that a search can be done for your proof of payment and a new file can be emailed to you.
Seam allowances are all always included in the pattern pieces, unless otherwise noted.
Always print your patterns from Adobe Reader, a free downloadable program that you can find HERE.
Pattern pieces include a 1" test square so that you can see if you are printing your pattern pieces the correct size. When printing from Adobe Reader, make sure you choose "ACTUAL SIZE" in the print settings. Go HERE for instructions to help you print your pattern correctly.
The reason this is happening is because Adobe Reader did an update to their software which prints transparencies black. This is particularly an issue on our pattern pages because they have transparent areas. To fix this, you need to update your Adobe Reader. If you need to update, you can do that under the "help" tab by clicking "check for updates." If you are working on a device that is older and will not allow you to update, a fix for this is to print the PDF in black and white, or print just those pages in Black and white.
