I have been sewing since I was very young, my Mom and Grandma were avid sewists, who had also learnt from the women before them.   I have always had a machine near by and - depending on what season of life I was in - would sew for craft shows, quilts, halloween costumes for my daughters, clothing etc.   

Emmaline started out as my own bag making business, when I was living abroad in Australia.   I would sell bags at craft shows, and eventually began to create my own patterns.   When I first started out, there was no hardware or bag making products readily available.   I began designing metal 'handmade' labels, sourcing and bringing in bag hardware that I needed for my bag designs.  All from a small room in my basement!  It's now becoming a one-stop shop for bag making.  We have a beautiful building and store front to work in, and it brings me great joy to be able to share passion for sewing and bag making with others.

My husband Mike runs the orders and shipping side of the business, while my daughter Stephanie and I are on product development and business management. We have a wonderful team at Emmaline, and our priority is a great customer service experience.
