These fabrics typically do not require interfacing for added strength and structure. You can omit the interfacing as part of the instructions, if using WPC or waxed canvas. The card slot layers can get bulky, so a crisp ripstop or lightweight (WPC) can also be used without the aid of interfacing. On the outside of the bag, home decor and bottom-weight fabrics such as cotton canvas, duck cloth, and denim (with weights of ~ 6-8 oz/sq yard) will work well. The interfacing recommendations should be followed as usual. With this bag design, the cording tails will hang down and may come in contact with the hook and loop fastener. Please select a product that won’t snag in the teeth of the fastener you use.
