Why we chose the Janine Clutch
The Janine Clutch felt like the perfect choice for October! It's a quick and rewarding project with clever organization packed into a petite design, and there are so many ways to make it your own with different fabrics, hardware, and strap options. We're also teaching the Janine here at Emmaline this fall and have put together some beautiful kits to make choosing your supplies easy. And this month, one of those kits is extra special: 100% of the proceeds from our Berry Fine in Caramel kit will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a lovely little project with an especially meaningful reason to sew along with us this October.

Recommended Fabrics: Vinyl, faux leather, cork, light leather, or cotton for the exterior; a lighter fabric for the lining.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Finished Dimensions: 8¼" W × 6½" H × 2" D / 21 cm W × 16.5 cm H × 5 cm D.
Estimated Sewing Time: 2-3 hours

Recommended Materials & Supplies
1) Main Fabric: 1/4 yard Exterior Fabric
2) Lining Fabric: 1/4 yard Lining Fabric
3) Fusible Interfacing: 1 yard - EB-Fuse Light
4) Decovil Light: 1/2 yard from 17" width or 1/4 yard from 35"width.
5) Zippers: 1x 8" zipper with 1 pull. NOTE: You can use a longer zipper to make this!
- Double-sided tape: ¼" / 6 mm wide or narrower
- Marking pen or chalk
- Rivet-setting tools or press
- Fray Check or super glue

- One entry per finished project, but you can enter multiple projects per series.
- Your project must be completed during the current Maker Series challenge period.
- Please use the featured Maker Series pattern and Emmaline supplies where possible.
