Our copper/rose gold colour hardware is generally made with copper, which it allows it to be both beautiful and affordable. There are no noticeable visable differences in the finish colour between copper and rose gold. We do have a few products that are actual rose gold plating, but you can't tell the difference, so this is why we went with the copper name title. We will not tell you it is rose gold unless it truly is!

All of the thread we sell is specifically chosen for bag making. Our thread is all either polyester or nylon to provide extra strength for stressed seams!

• You can use the thread we stock for the fabric substrates we sell, although the heavier weight Fusion 45 (Tex 45) and Strongbond (Tex 70), are not recommended for thin or lightweight fabric. They are best suited for heavy canvas, faux leather, leather, or bag panels that have a built up combined thickness.
• Gutermann Sew-All Polyester thread is a budget friendly option, and works very well in most applications. It is a Tex 30 thread, so the thinnest looking of the thread options we stock, but very reliable on your domestic machine. Colour consistency between spools can be varied.
• Glide, Affinity & Premo-soft work well for both seam stitching and topstitching, and can be used on any domestic machine. The Glide and Affinity threads offer a beautiful sheen for topstitching and are stronger than all-purpose thread.
• Fusion 45 (Tex 45) Bonded Nylon Twist is a multifilament thread designed exclusively for crafting handbags, purses, luggage, and leather goods. This strong thread performs well on domestic and light industrial sewing machines.
• The Strongbond Nylon Tex 70 thread is suited for industrial machine sewing, but can be used in some heavy duty domestic machines.

• For faux leather and cork we recommend a Microtex (Sharps) needle in a size 90/14.
• For cotton, canvas & tweed layers that are interfaced with fusible interfacing, we recommend a Jeans/Denim needle.
• Change your needle frequently to avoided thread splits and skipped stitches!
• If you are using a thread heavier than all-purpose thread, or heavy fabric, you may need to upgrade your needle size.
