These Magnetic Edge Clasps sit on the edge of a bag flap or strap closure. Perfect for gorgeous clutches, handbags, and evening bags. They are very easy to install, and look stunning!

Measurements:

  • Width 1 5/8" (40mm) x Height 7/8" (22 mm)

To install:

  • Simply attach the magnetic side on the bag front using the provided washer, using the same technique as you would for any magnetic snap.
  • Slide the Half Moon Clip over the finished edge of a bag flap or strap closure and use a mini screw driver to screw in the 2 provided screws right into the fabric. Making holes first is not necessary or recommended. Make sure the flap or closure is thick and durable (Pellon Peltex or similar recommended). Use some glue on the metal clip for security and some "loctite" or similar lock tightener in the screw holes, as well as in the screw hole that holds the magnet in place. Loctite can be found in any hardware store worldwide and is used to keep screws - tight!

** Caution: This is a magnetic lock and while it can be used on wallets and purses, it could be bumped and flipped open. This please be sure to test and see if it suits your own personal standards.

Beautiful, but pricey

These are gorgeous and elevate my wallet and bag designs. However, they are expensive, so I will be using them sparingly.
