Supplies:
Cotton and canvas are great options for this bag. More experienced sewists may want to give cork or vinyl a try but be aware that there are some bulky seams where the zips and strap anchors meet. To keep bulk to a minimum, I recommend only using these thicker fabrics for the exterior main panels and base, and trimming interfacing out of the corner seams.
Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure they’re suitable for your sewing machine. For domestic machines, it’s usually best to stick with cotton, especially for your first bag.
